Founding station beta — free Station tier for life

Streaming Automation.

Every other remote broadcast tool treats your co-hosts as guests on a video call. Ether hands every host the whole board — decks, mics, schedule, cart wall, voice tracker — from whatever city they log in from. One studio. Every control. Everybody.

Ether Live Console

Pro broadcasting tools assume your hosts share one building.

RCS Zetta and WideOrbit cost $10–60K per year and ship to a control room. Riverside and StreamYard were built for podcasts, not radio. Ether is the first studio designed for the reality of independent broadcasting in 2026 — distributed teams, mixed content, real schedules.

Live console

A real broadcast mixer for the laptop era.

Six independent channels you assign on the fly. Decks for music, mics for hosts, channels for remote guests, carts for stings.

  • True VU metering with peak hold and limiter — not the bouncing bars in podcast tools.
  • PFL cue on every channel so you can preview before going live.
  • One-click ON AIR with crossfade, ducking, and mic-open logic.
Live Console
Multi-host video

Co-hosts in different cities, on the same show.

Each remote co-host opens a browser link. Video and audio stream over WebRTC straight into your broadcast mixer. Sub-second latency, no third-party service.

  • Up to 4 video sources — Solo, 2-up, 3-up, 4-up, or focus modes.
  • Quality monitoring per guest, with automatic bitrate adjustment.
  • Stream out to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X, or any RTMP endpoint.

Ether2Go mobile

Your phone is a remote voice booth.

Open a URL. Pair once with a 6-digit code. Now you can record breaks, intros, and outros from anywhere — kitchen, car, hotel room — and they appear in the studio's inbox the instant you hit upload.

  • No app store, no install. It's a PWA — any phone, any OS, works on first visit.
  • Real-time mic level meter while you record, so you know it's landing before you stop.
  • One-click to queue in the studio. The DJ drops your voice track straight into rotation.

Radio-grade automation

Dayparts. Categories. Format clocks.

Same scheduling architecture the big stations use — Zetta, NexGen, MusicMaster — without the licensing fees or the consultant hire. And when a song plays, you can see exactly why the scheduler picked it.

  • Dayparts with their own format clocks per show and time of day.
  • Music categories with rotation rates, separation rules, daypart restrictions.
  • PD Picks — pin specific songs to specific slots, recurring or one-shot.
  • Scheduler Reasons — audit trail of every pick (source, pool size, filters applied).
  • Schedule Preview — see the next 24–72 hours before it airs.
Schedule Preview
Studio editor

A real multi-track DAW. Inside your broadcast tool.

Cut a promo, build a sweeper, master a podcast — without leaving Ether. Eight tracks, regions, fades, EQ, compression, and a master limiter.

  • Drag, trim, fade, split, crossfade. Auto-overlap detection.
  • EQ, compression, reverb per track + master bus with broadcast-grade limiter.
  • Send to Deck — finished pieces drop straight into your live console.

Built-in mastering

Shape the whole station. 10-band EQ, live spectrum.

A floating master rack with a real 10-band graphic EQ and a live FFT spectrum analyzer — the same pro hardware workflow, built into Ether. Drag it anywhere, snap it to a corner, keep it open while you mix.

  • Real biquad filters running on the master bus — drag a slider, hear the change instantly.
  • Live spectrum analyzer — 2048-point FFT with proper VU ballistics and peak-hold markers.
  • Draggable FX window — Ableton-style. Resizes, snaps to screen edges, remembers position.

AI Voice Studio

Station IDs, weather, and news — generated in seconds.

Type a script, get broadcast-ready voiceover. Use your own ElevenLabs voice clone, OpenAI's built-in voices, or your computer's free Web Speech voices. Drop the result straight into rotation.

  • Reusable templates with {{variables}} — "It is {{temperature}} in {{city}}" → filled per hour, auto-generated.
  • Three providers — ElevenLabs (voice cloning), OpenAI TTS (six voices), or free OS voices.
  • One-click to queue — rendered MP3 drops into the playout engine alongside your music.
  • Segment library — every generated clip kept, tagged, searchable, reusable.

Stream metadata

Your now-playing, everywhere at once.

Listeners in cars want RDS. TuneIn needs its own feed. Your stream provider wants Icecast admin. Your in-house dashboard wants a webhook. Ether fans every song-change out to all of them — in parallel.

  • Icecast 2 + Shoutcast v1/v2 admin metadata push.
  • TuneIn AIR Partner API — what shows on the TuneIn app and overlays on car receivers.
  • RDS encoders — Inovonics, Audemat, Deva, or any generic serial target over COM port.
  • Custom webhooks — POST JSON to any URL for your own dashboards, social bots, or PSD systems.

Compliance & reporting

Royalty statements, As-Run, and the FCC inspector's logbook.

Every play is logged automatically. Every EAS test gets recorded. Every scheduled slot is reconciled against what actually aired. Export the format your PRO, your traffic system, or the FCC expects.

  • BMI / ASCAP / SoundExchange / PDF / CSV exports ready to file.
  • As-Run reconciliation — scheduled vs. actual, side by side.
  • EAS Logbook — FCC § 11.61 compliant record of every RWT, RMT, and alert, with printable PDF for inspectors.
  • Compliance dashboard — days since last RWT/RMT, color-coded against FCC deadlines.

Station groups

Run five stations from one studio.

College groups, LPFM clusters, AM/FM combos — Ether runs multiple stations side by side, each with its own library, schedule, logs, and reports. Total data isolation. One install, any number of signals.

  • Separate databases per station — no crossed wires, no shared rotation bleed.
  • Switch with one click in the header — Ether relaunches into the other station's DB.
  • Migrate from GSelector in minutes — built-in XML import for categories, songs, and hour templates.
  • Network-wide reports (Network tier) — cross-station compliance + royalty filings from one export.

Everything else.

Does it actually replace Zetta or NexGen for a real station?
For independent and small-market stations — yes. Same scheduling architecture (dayparts, categories, format clocks), same compliance exports (BMI, ASCAP, SoundExchange), no licensing politics. For 50+ station enterprise deployments, talk to us about Network or Enterprise.
How does multi-host actually work?
Each remote co-host opens a browser link you send them. Their video and audio stream to your Ether instance over WebRTC — same tech Riverside and Zoom use, but routed into your live broadcast mixer instead of a recording. Sub-second latency.
What happens if my internet drops mid-broadcast?
Local automation keeps playing. Your queue, scheduled hours, and cart wall live on your machine — they don't need the cloud to run. Voice tracks, remote guests, and live cloud sync pause until you reconnect, but the radio doesn't stop.
Can I stream to Shoutcast or my own server?
Yes. Built-in Icecast and Shoutcast clients, plus RTMP for video to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X, or any custom RTMP endpoint. Now-playing metadata (PAD) pushes to Icecast, Shoutcast v1/v2, TuneIn AIR, RDS encoders (Inovonics/Audemat/Deva), and custom webhooks — in parallel. Your listeners see the song title whether they're in a car, on TuneIn, or on your website.
How does the mobile app work?
Ether2Go is a PWA — no app store, no install. Open the URL Ether shows you on your phone, enter a 6-digit pairing code, and you're connected. Record voice tracks from anywhere with a mic and WiFi; they upload straight to the studio inbox where the DJ drops them into rotation. Works on any phone or tablet with a browser.
What's AI Voice Studio actually for?
Station IDs, weather reports, time checks, "up next" intros, news intros — anything you'd normally have a human voice-track. Type a script (or use a reusable template with variables), pick a voice (ElevenLabs clone, OpenAI TTS, or your computer's free voices), and generate broadcast-quality audio in seconds. The finished MP3 drops into rotation alongside your music.
I'm coming from GSelector. Can I bring my library?
Yes. Ether reads GSelector's XML export format directly — categories, songs with metadata, and hour templates all convert in one shot. Takes a few minutes for a full library. Existing files on disk get linked to the imported records automatically; anything missing gets flagged so you can bulk-remap.
Do you support multiple stations on one install?
On the Network and Enterprise tiers, yes. Each station runs from its own SQLite database — total data isolation, zero risk of crossed rotation or scheduling between stations. Switch between them with one click from the header. Perfect for college groups, LPFM clusters, and AM/FM combos.
Do you handle EAS for FCC compliance?
Ether provides the logbook and compliance dashboard (RWT/RMT/NPT tracking, printable PDF for inspectors, 2-year retention per 47 CFR § 11.61). It doesn't generate the actual EAS audio — that stays the job of your dedicated EAS encoder/decoder box (SAGE, DASDEC, etc.). Ether tracks what your encoder does and gives you a clean record for the FCC inspector's binder.
Mac or Windows?
Both. Native builds for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows (10/11). Linux is on the roadmap for Studio tier.
